Sabbath Sunday #6: Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday, everyone!

As we enter into Holy Week, I am leaving you all with Zechariah 9:9:

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

These words were spoken as an encouragement to the people during Zechariah's time, giving them a reason to look forward with hope and wait expectantly on the coming of the Messiah.

Now, being on the opposite side of that, Jesus still offers us a reason to hope, a reason to look forward with expectancy.

As we enter into this week remembering the events that led up to the death of Jesus, we can look forward with hope towards His Resurrection. And though that was years ago, He still lives today, giving us a reason to have hope every moment of every day as we wait for Him to come yet again.

Jesus provided hope then, and He continues to provide hope now.

We can rejoice, for our King is coming.

In Him,
Elisha
