Welcome

Welcome, friends!

Thanks for stopping by.

Let me give you a brief introduction to this blog.

First off, this blog has three main purposes:
1. To Glorify God.
2. To Encourage and Uplift the Body of Christ.
3. To Give others a platform to use their voice and share their story.

It is my desire that through this blog, all three of these purposes will be accomplished.

I began blogging during my first year of college. My blog became a space for me to share with the world (well, my readers lol) the things Christ had been putting on my heart. Things like the importance of following Him, His heart for the poor and vulnerable, and His desire to be with us. As God began revealing more and more to me through the study of His Word, I began to see a theme: Light in the darkness.

Several times in the Bible, we see the metaphor of followers of Jesus being light in the world– because Jesus is the light of the world. The more that I came across this, I sensed God telling me that in Him, I am the light of the world. Yes, there is darkness in the world, but it doesn't have to stay that way. I can light up the darkness. And of course, with that came the questions. But God how? I'm only one person. One small, shy, quiet person at that. How can I light up the darkness? And He used someone to answer these questions for me. He said In darkness, there is no need for a huge light, a little one is enough. And in that moment, I knew these words weren't just for me, but for you as well.

I am enough. You are enough. We are enough.

In Christ, we have freedom, light, and authority. So ultimately we can drive out the darkness. We can abolish it. He sends us into the darkness, not to remain there, but to illuminate it. We are the light because we have the light and we carry the light.

Jesus has brought us into His light, so that we may bring His light into the darkness.

So go with Christ, and Light Up the Darkness.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has
not overcome it." -John 1:5
