Day 20: He Enters In

He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. -Hebrews 1:10

The Heavens are the work of His hands.

He created and established the earth, and the Heavens are the work of His hands.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was empty. Formless. Void. There was darkness over the earth. (Genesis 1:1-2)

And what did God do? He came close. He did not stand at a distance, but He hovered over the waters.

The darkness did not keep God away then, and it can't keep God away now.

He created the earth. He formed the heavens with His hands.

With His hands He created: He created the earth. He created the heavens. And He also created you and me.

He formed us with His hands. He fashioned us like He fashioned the Heavens. He knit us together in our mothers' wombs. (Psalm 139:13)

Our darkness does not keep Him at a distance. If anything, it beckons Him to come close. He hovers all around us, He is near us. Our darkness does not scare Him, but He chooses to enter in.

He enters in.

He enters in the darkness. He enters in the sadness. He enters in the chaos. He enters in the mundane. He enters in the excitement. He enters in, here and now. He enters in.

He did not stand off at a distance after creating the earth, but He entered in.

He did not stand off at a distance after creating you and me, but He enters in.

Here and now, He is still entering in.

Let Him meet you in this space. The place beneath your feet, however dark or light, know that He will enter in.

Blessings,
Elisha
